New inspiration - Birth Month Flower Family Art

The other day my friend sent me a picture of a birth month flower family art print she saw on Etsy and asked -  hey could you make something like this for me? I took a look and thought - this is totally up my alley because I love to draw flowers, and I like to draw them in a minimalist line drawing style as well. This inspired me to create my own version, in my style. I looked up the official flower for each month of the year and did a drawing for each on my iPad in Procreate. Then I uploaded them all to Adobe Illustrator to vectorize them. Then I worked on the layout and style for the text I wanted to include - like the option to have each family member's names below each flower, as well as the family's last name. I made a few variations. I was so happy to feel inspired to create something new. She wanted it in 20 inches x 16 inches size so I ordered it from an online printer and I think it turned out very well!

I think it is such a special piece - a way to have a customized and unique piece of art that represents and celebrates your family.

I was so happy to create this for my friend and I thought maybe other people would like to have art like this so I published it to my Etsy shop.

This one I imagine as a gallery wall where each family member gets their own art print, and you hang them up together, creating a gallery wall that makes up your family.
